The discreetly designed Hyde Race combines the robustness of a mountain bike with racing bike-worthy speed, with a touch of city chic. With its Schwalbe G-One all-round tires, this bike rolls through the city like lightning. And thanks to the smooth, super-robust Gates CDX toothed belt and the Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub gear, you can change from gear to gear easily and precisely. And so that safety is not neglected with so much forward momentum, the powerful, weather-independent hydraulic Shimano disc brakes bring the bike to a stop reliably and in a controlled manner. In short: a light, precisely controllable overall package for lots of urban riding fun!
When developing the Hyde Race, we took our mountain bike hardtails as a model. Double-butted aluminum tube sets and fast 700c tires ensure plenty of forward thrust and a high level of riding comfort, while seamlessly integrated mounting points allow for individual retrofitting with a luggage rack and mudguards. The low-maintenance toothed belt can be tightened via the eccentric bottom bracket - the frame opening for mounting is discreetly located above the dropout. Finally, a slim, stiff fork completes the frame, its specialty: crisp, precise steering behavior combined with low weight and a subtle look.
