1. FREE RETURN OF USED BATTERIES

This is indicated by the symbol of the crossed-out garbage can on the batteries or on the packaging. If we have batteries or products equipped with batteries in our range, we are obliged to take back these old batteries. If they are sufficiently stamped, you have the option of sending the old batteries back to us at the following address:

3. BATTERY SYMBOLS AND THEIR MEANING

Batteries are identified with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can above. Batteries with this symbol must not be disposed of in household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent mercury by weight, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by weight or more than 0.004 percent lead by weight, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol - "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" stands for lead and "Hg" for mercury.

We would like to point out that the shipping of batteries and products with built-in batteries is subject to strict regulations on dangerous goods and must be labeled in accordance with the legal requirements. It does not matter whether the batteries are lithium metal or lithium ion. Please also ensure that the selected transport route is handled correctly in accordance with dangerous goods law. A summary of these guidelines would, however, go beyond the scope of this article.

Finally, it should be noted that every shipment containing a battery must be marked with the following hazard warning.

Transport not restricted according to special provisions SV 188 ADR/RID/IMGD Code. If the packaging is damaged, there is a risk of ignition, so the batteries must be separated, checked and, if necessary, repackaged by qualified personnel!
