Serious trail mountain bikes have a suspension fork and disc brakes, period. And we think that's how it should be for the bikes of ambitious young rippers too. That's why we equipped the Acid 260 with hydraulic Tektro disc brakes - a guarantee for safe, controlled braking maneuvers, even at Wet and difficult terrain. The Suntour suspension fork also comes into play in the latter, with its 80 mm suspension travel smoothing out every trail with ease. Smooth gear changes at the touch of a finger from the handlebars? No problem thanks to the wide range of Shimano 24-speed gears. In short: The Acid 260 offers everything you need for trail use – no more, no less.

Mechanically formed, double-butted, heat-treated 6061 aluminum tube sets form the basis for the frame of the Acid 260 Disc - the same basis as our adult models, by the way. We have also integrated special bases that enable the installation of powerful disc brakes for safe braking maneuvers in all weather conditions. In combination with our Agile Ride Geometry, this has created a chassis that kids can use to gain a lot of confidence and efficiently develop their skills. And: We have opted for an easily replaceable derailleur hanger so that a small fall does not mean the end of the world or the end of the frame.
