RUGGED AND READY.
Simplicity can also be a virtue. We listened carefully to what aspiring young mountain bikers really want from their bike - low weight, safe handling, reliable components - and designed the Acid 240 SL with these principles in mind. The result is a bike with a lightweight aluminum fork, light, easy-to-use rim brakes and a wide-ranging 9-speed gear system that makes it easy to master even steep climbs. Add to that a slimmer handlebar with grips that even small children's hands can grip perfectly and keep the bike safely on course on all trails.
The frame of the Acid 240 is made from the same heat-treated 6061 aluminum tube sets as our adult mountain bikes and is therefore just as robust and stable. However, we have tailored its proportions and weight to the needs of children. In addition, mudguards can be mounted - and a bottle holder so that the kids always have enough fluids on the go. Thanks to the good handling, which is designed for great riding fun, the youngsters gain a lot of self-confidence. And because accidents cannot always be avoided, we have opted for an easily replaceable derailleur hanger, which saves time-consuming repairs after a fall or impact.
