In terms of style and design, we took inspiration from our mountain bikes for adults, and in terms of functionality from our all-round models, which could certainly awaken a certain thirst for adventure in the kids. Long mudguards, a sturdy luggage rack, the side stand and the dynamo-powered lighting system - we've thought of everything that makes young cyclists happy. Equipped with child-friendly brake levers, the V-brakes also give you full control. And the smooth-running Shimano 7-speed gearshift changes smoothly from gear to gear. Now nothing stands in the way of a trip out into the big wide world!
Frame
The heat-treated 6061 aluminum frame of the Acid 200 is just as high-quality and durable as that of our mountain bikes for adults - thanks to the specially shaped down tube, which is tailored precisely to the stature of young riders, it is extremely light and stable. The V-brakes on the front and rear wheels also work like those on mom or dad's bike. And because accidents are almost unavoidable on the way to becoming a bike pro, the derailleur hanger is easy to change - so you don't have to replace the entire frame after a fall.
